The only Angel

Miss, will you ever speak to me again? I remember your sad mesmerizing eyes ascend higher and higher as you watched our miseries unfold. I flapped my crooked wings in excited turmoil wishing you’d applaud my sordid display. I watched you slowly climb into the heavenly skies gazing onto darkness.
Now in my final stretch, I clamour around in bouts of frenzied spasms desperately trying to liftoff; even though you left me forever, for better things.
